Who is Mimie Madison-Torres?
Owner of the famous “Mimie’s House of Beauty” since 1989. Mirielle Madison-Torres’ background spans over 30 years in the beauty business. She was trained under John Atkinson in Manhattan, New York. Hailing from Queens, New York where she was the beauty consultant for many Hip Hop icons that gave birth to this new form with style and elegance.

Some of her classmates were Run DMC, Russell Simmons, Charles Fisher, and LL Cool J. She was the hair and make-up consultant on many of the music videos which included: Oran Juice Jones, Heavy Dee and the Boyzs, Run DMC, Diana Ross, Ron Isley, Jonathan Butler, Whoundi, Big Daddy Kane, and many of the fresh looking music videos of the early eighties through the present.

In 1987 she relocated with her family to Tampa, Florida where she established Mimie’s House of Beauty. She was the beauty consultant for channel WTVT Fox 13 Home Shopping Network, UPN, MyNetwork TV, and other independent television shows.

Her current clients consist of Denise White (news anchor), Trina Robertson, Erica Higgins, Terri Lewis and Marlo Smith from HSN TV. First African American District Judge for the State of Florida Judge Mary Scriven, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneer Cheerleaders.

In 2004 she was the Executive Producer for Hip Hop 411 TV (WTOG CW) where she was the personal stylist for the host of the show (www.hiphop411tv.com). She traveled and consulted on Source Awards, BET Awards, and MTV’s Music Awards Red Carpet.
